Man United vs Arsenal: I’m Waiting For You – Goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale Tells Ronaldo
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has said that he is eagerly waiting for next weekend’s Premier League match against Manchester United.
The England goalkeeper is hoping that Cristiano Ronaldo would be at his best when Arsenal travel to Old Trafford.
Ramsdale moved to Arsenal in the summer in a deal worth up to £30 million and has enjoyed an excellent start to his career under Mikel Arteta.
He has taken over the club’s number one spot, displacing Bernd Leno.
The 23-year-old has kept five clean sheets in nine league games and made a number of top saves to get his team out of trouble.
And the meeting with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is a big test for the Englishman.
Ronaldo has scored 10 goals across all competitions this season despite Man United’s struggles.
Ramsdale is relishing the opportunity to have a ‘full-on battle’ against one of football’s all-time greats.
“I’d never thought I’d play against Ronaldo, but I really hope he’s on it against us because it gives me a chance to test myself,” said Ramsdale at Amazon’s Black Friday Live event.
“As much as you want to go somewhere like that [Old Trafford] there’s no better feeling than getting on top of someone and saying I’ve had a full-on battle with Ronaldo.”
